We really love our "statements" (as we call our most treasured accessories)! No matter what we are wearing, we love creating our "LOTD" by just adding our favorite pieces to our outfit depending upon whatever mood we are in. So when we find a new jewelry designer we get all giddy and excited to share with our customers not only the new designs and styles, but the "story" behind the brand. Handmade and from the heart is always special and makes your collection all the more unique. When we met sales rep Laken with Love, Poppy in Dallas last week we were instantly drawn to her southern accent, charm and her excitement to tell us about the creation of Love, Poppy and how the company has evolved. We wanted to share a bit about the company with you. We are very excited to be carrying this new designer and we hope you'll pop in soon to check it out!

Love, Poppy’s Story
Mississippi-based designer Chelsea McIntosh launched
Love, Poppy in the fall of 2013. Love, Poppy started with just one store
in Starkville, Mississippi, but has quickly grown to be featured in
300+ stores nationwide. Love, Poppy specializes in handmade bracelets,
necklaces and earrings. Jewelry designs are driven by current fashion
trends and Chelsea's own style, while maintaining an affordable price
point and using quality materials.
Why Love, Poppy?
The company name has deep-rooted meaning with fond
memories intertwined. Chelsea was very close to her grandfather, Bud
"Poppy" Jennings, who was a mailman for over 25 years. Because of her
strong relationship with him, she wanted to honor Poppy through her
company in some form or fashion. The "Love, Poppy" branding and logo
sustains his memory by including Chelsea's name for her grandfather and
honoring the profession where he spent many of his days. The logo's
cursive lettering was chosen to resemble a signature in a representation
of the many letters that must have passed through her grandfather's
hands over the decades. This gives a special tribute to this cherished
man and his career.
Love, Poppy Gives Back
Love, Poppy is proud to support Reclaimed Project.
Focusing on orphan care and adoption, Reclaimed works to directly impact
the underserved and unclaimed. James 1:27 (NIV) says "Religion that God
our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans
and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by
the world." In addition to awarding domestic and international adoption
grants, they work to generate sustainable job creation in each
community where they have a presence, from orphan care centers in
southern Africa to community-based efforts in the Mississippi Delta.
