detox your day

For most of you, the holiday high has come to a sustained speed as you get back into the swing of your regular routine and battle with our on-again off-again cold temps [oh pesty Florida!] For others, you're still in overdrive as you play catch up from work travels or post-holiday adventures that took you somewhere sunny or with snow!  Getting your health back on track from the holidays is sometimes tricky amongst all of the kinks in schedules and lack of interest in cooking [after being spoiled with holiday parties and dinners]  so we wanted to share some simple and refreshing tips that we've acquired on our own over the years that always seem to give us a rejuvenated feeling and a fresh perspective.

Not to mention... beach season will be here before we know it!  #lemonbar [giggle!]

Flushing out toxins has no magic science behind it.  It's simple.  Drink lots and lots......did we mention lots... of water! Easier said than done, right?  Add some flavor to your pitcher of water and allow it to set in your refrigerator over night to allow the flavors to meld.

Lemons // Add major flavor and a rich source of Vitamin C game changer in helping to cleanse and alkalize the body. Slice half a lemon to go into the pitcher and save the other half to squeeze fresh juice into your poured glass the next day.
Mint // A little bit of a sweet flavor without adding sugar to your water and also aids in digestion and helping to ease an unsettled tummy.
Ginger  // Another detox key player that helps cleanse your system and aid in digestion.  A little goes a long way so start out with a small amount and add as you like.

Simple and easy, just the way we like it!

xx,
